Dec 5th 2021!⃝"working for the knife" is definitely not about murder. it's essentially a critique of capitalism: the narrator is talking about how her childhood dreams, all her hopes and individuality got sucked away by this system that expects us to be solely a cog in this giant machine, to give up your life to work for something you can't even see or benefit off of. about how this 9 to 5 job is stripping off her identity because in the end, your work all you are and will ever be in the eyes of capitalism.
