Jul 17th 2011!⃝To me, this song is about self recrimination after having had a nasty fight with a loved one.The singer has surprised his\herself by the cruelty and anger they've expressed and now are trying to make light of it ala "I was only joking when i said....," The reference to Joan of Arc is refering to being burnt at the stake metaphorically, which the singer feels is whats happened as a result of his\her big mouth.
