After listneing to the beginning of the song a little closer, however, I found that the lyrics of the first verse are a schizophrenic reference: "I'm hearing voices, but all they do is complain. How many times have you wanted to kill?" then later in the song the lyrics are "It's all in your head, it's all in MY head, it's all in your head" To me it seemed that this line was expressing the idea that the homeless man Corey had seen was indeed schizophrenic, and Corey saw a bit of himself in that man. In other words, the absense of his father has somewhat turned Corey schizo. I must also point out that at the end of the song there is the screaming of "Look me in my brand new EYE!" which I think may be a metaphor for father, as Corey's found a new fatherly figure or a stepfather to take the place of his real father who is gone. By saying "Look me in my brand new eye, Mother F*er" he's telling his dad, who he obviously strongly dislikes, to look and see that he's found someone to look up to.
I absoloutly love this song.
