The line about wanting to be “Next up forever” repeats itself. I believe this song refers to hitting a peak as a musician, and beginning a decline in popularity from there on out. The AJR bros are very open about their struggles, as people and as musicians. This is another song to add to their unique collection of honest & open tracks.
