Oct 23rd 2014!⃝Most of you guys know that The Hunting Party was based around Linkin Park "hunting" for that harder sound. And most of you have probably heard people complaining about LP's sound on ATS and LT, well I think Linkin Park has heard these guys too and this song very well could be a response.
In Mike's rap verses, he says things like "got a different method but I still can bring the pain" and "all you fnckin' lames go aiming at my name though, careful what you shoot because you might hit what you aim for."
In the chorus, "Toss the Keys to The Kingdom down that hole in my eye", I think the Kingdom in question is success in the rap/rock genre. And the keys were Hybrid Theory and Meteora. Linkin Park had discovered that the sound on those albums would always be successful, but they threw away the key and branched out into different genres. Now, about that "hole in my eye" line, I honestly can't say I know for sure. But if I had to guess, I'd say the hole in his eye is someplace only he could reach or find, showing that the key was lost until he wanted to find it.
But no matter how you interpret this song, it's still amazing.
