May 22nd 2012!⃝This song is very complex in terms of getting a fixed meaning but,however,the clear picture we can all agree on is that the two lovers were once happily in love and later their love was no more.It seems clear for one to think that lady passed on and left the man in missery.The last verse clarifies this point by adding that 'the sky could be blue,could be grey,without you it's a waste of time'.The words 'without you' implies that the lady died and now the man finds no joy in the strawberry swing.
