Apr 1st 2018!⃝I think of this as a guy in a toxic relationship. I see it as a dude who is dating this girl, but this girl is only with him to get back at her ex. It works, but the other guy doesn’t want to commit so they just snoop around together while she’s dating him. She ignores the guy she’s dating for her ex and talks about him all the time when they are together, hence him saying “I know that you’ve dated other guys but I gotta wonder why you leave it out for me” and “put your past behind me it shines so bright it blinds me”. He wants to leave her, but he also doesn’t think he can do better so he stays with her and takes it. She does this with multiple guys and then finally she gets back with her ex, who treats her poorly and all leaves all the guys she hurts behind.
